About Spitfire

Our philosophy is casual style dinning that puts a smile on your face and fills your belly!

Spitfire Restaurant is family affair, started by husband and wife team Amir and Doris after having a restaurant for 8 years and moving from Melbourne for a  sea changed in 2014. Their two sons Danial and Adam also work at the restaurant.

Amir, our chef is a natural having been cooking since he was a child in Malaysia. His inventive menu features many specials that keep our customers coming back to try his latest dish.

Doris is also passionate about food as well as great coffee inspired by her Maltese/Dutch/ German background, she has also worked in hospitality since she was 15 years old, and has completed studies in hospitality.

Amir not only served in the Malaysian Army but was born in Butterworth RAAF Penang, Malaysia where his is father was working as a medic. Some of Amir’s earliest memories are of war planes flying over, which started his fascination that has seen him grow quite a large collection of war memorabilia all on display in the restaurant.

Amir and Doris’s backgrounds make for the most exciting flavour combinations, with the Spitfire menu inspired by Asian and European spices.

Supporting Our Community

After your burger, ride it off with one of our Spitfire hire bikes. Hire for the day or by the hour and cruise the Rosebud Foreshore. 

All proceeds from bike hire as well as tips are donated to the Solider On foundation. As well providing a great dining experience for our customers we are passionate about our local community and important charity causes. Spitfire provides ongoing support to Solider On; a charity providing support for the health and well-being of soldiers and their families
